Foodie Review: Otis
Brought to you by Scott Hawley and Michelle Lobo, Otis is a delicious find just 2 blocks away from 100 Bogart! Scott's 20 years of experience as a Chef in addition to Michelle's expertise in Business Development and Design ignited the desire to bring modern, fresh and high-quality food to the neighborhood and ultimately, and lucky for us, Otis came to life!
Here at 100 Bogart, we like to know our surroundings and we strive to engage with local businesses as much as we can. Naturally, we had to check our neighbors Otis out. After spending a lovely evening tasting some of their amazing selection, we are nothing short of impressed. Everything from the carefully curated atmosphere to the eye-catching dishes were beautifully presented.
Here are some of the dishes we tried: First, the Green Bean with dill gremolata, caramelized fennel ricotta and almond had a savory cheesy taste that was perfect for starters.
What followed was the pork shoulder dish made with gigli pasta, miso, tomato and pesto. We were able to pick up a cinnamon taste that made the dish salty and sweet, not to mention that the pork was incredibly soft! Definitely a crowd favorite.
Next was the duck leg confit, accompanied by pommes puree and fig gastrique. The texture contrast between the puree and the rough duck truly enhanced each flavor and caused a perfect blend of these unique ingredients and delectable taste.
Finally, the perfectly cooked Lamb shank with potato gratin, lamb jus, and mustard were as delicious as it sounds. The delicately sliced potatoes were the ideal complement to the juicy lamb meat.
From a night out with your friends to a romantic date with your significant other – Otis is the perfect destination for a memorable experience. If you haven't had the chance yet, make sure to stop by at Otis Restaurant just down the street from 100 Bogart!
Their happy hour has just started for the summer, and it is from 5-7PM on Tuesdays-Saturdays. Catch a drink with you there!
